Woman Of The Year 2010: Gillian Duffy

So Merry Christmas and that, hope Santa got you that thing.

FHM have been in touch and wanted my vote for the Woman of the Year.... So here she is in all her beauty. Yes the 'bigoted lady', Gillian Duffy gets my vote.

Integral in Brown's decline during a visit to Rochdale back in April. Possibly the straw the broke the camels back for many Labour voters. Who quickly became Nick Clegg (of TV fame) fans, as Cleggmania took Britain by storm.... and we all know what happened next.

Happy New Year, Lets Hope It's A Good One.

Wikileaks

Here is Julian Assange, the Editor in Chief of WikiLeaks, revealing leaked cables on A Wheel Of Fortune. My favourite thing to come out, was the huge amount of bitchness involved. There seemed to be more alot more leaked about what people thought of each other than anything else. According to another cable, Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi, is “vain, feckless” and a serious party boy whose late-night revelries prevent him from being an effective leader. What a lad.

The Mockery of Extradition

As Julian Assange is to be extradited to his native Sweden, Afua Hirsch's article in The Guardian has commented on the sheer amount of people that are now flown out of the UK to face arrest under the Extradition Act. The article can be found here.

In Praise of....Silence

Last week I read an article in The Guardian's Comment section entitled In Praise of...Silence. It was the first time I had heard about the planned release of John Cage's 4'33 in an attempt to beat Simon Cowell & his karaoke competition to the Christmas Number 1 this year.

Under the name Cage Against The Machine (referring to last years efforts from Rage Against The Machine's efforts), members of various bands met up to record 4'33 last week. I think its a mint idea, a perfect revolt against Cowell. Plus its all for charity. The recording has gone on sale this week, so support it and buy buy buy.

PS. I did that daft illustration above.

Process-ting !

I remember when I was younger I used to flick through my Sisters magazines and I used to do these all the time. It would determine my favourite Spice Girl or what type of Ham I should eat.
Here is something I did. Nice one.
